08:56 am, September 2nd - Google Chrome browser So what's the dirt on Google's new Chrome browser? Any advanced word? Firefox has been a resource hog for me over the past few updates. Looking forward to something shiny and new.

OK, I'm intrigued by Chrome as well. I read about it and briefly talked to my roommate the security guy about it.
They have several great ideas, interesting paradigms listed. Hopefully allows for much more secure, safe browsing.
Its still a beta version, so I wouldn't download it until some of the bugs are ironed out. Bleeding edge is ok but why be someone's guinea pig.
Also, I'm not thrilled about the idea of using Google Gears within the application.

I've had Gmail for over four years. It's still "beta," LOL.
thanks for asking the question. I'm not entranced with Firefox's resource use, either. It really slows down my two home computers. |
