We stayed 20 minutes later than usual tonight. The judge likes to dismiss jurors at 4:30pm, but they were ready to pick the jury, so we stayed. (Jurors don't come in on Fridays for this trial.) I'm in the jury box, and I'll be sworn in on Monday morning. It's bound to be a boring trial, but I'm okay with that for now.

It pisses off my boss. I'm okay with that.

Jury duty

I start jury duty this month...actually the last week of the month though the month of October.

So are you on a jury already? How does the process work there? Here, we have to call in daily for a week to see if our group is picked. Then, if picked, we go in for one day to see if our name is called for a specific trial. Then we have to go in for any number of days while jurors are picked for that trial.

No, we have the same setup. We call in daily and find out if we're called or not.

I hope I get a juicy trial.
